I'm old.

I got a new rice cooker and since then I have been eating rice pretty much every day, some days more than once. I bought a five pound sack of jasmine rice the other day! I think my favorite way to eat it is with eggs over easy mixed in so the runny yolk gets all stirred in with the rice, sprinkled with some furikake or Crazy Mixed-Up Salt.

Mundane, yes, but that's the latest news. I really don't update my journal here very often, that's what my LJ is for (I'm atalantapendrag over there) so unless Semagic comes up with a way to simulpost here it'll be sporadic at best.

My apartment complex is being demolished!

I'll be getting Section 8, and once I get the info on that I will be able to start looking for a new apartment. Hopefully it will be nicer than the one I have now, but moving still scares the crap out of me.

After five years (well, five years on July 2) in my stuffy little Texas apartment, I have an air conditioner! Gift from my mom, installed by some friends with more experience in such matters. It seems to be just the right strength to keep my bedroom cool.

...which means I can have cool comfort or be on the computer, but not both. Oh well. I forsee frequent chill breaks.

It's Leap Day and it's raining. My head hurts just a little. I'm out of soda. I've started RPing Near at both Hogwarts Hocus and dndressingroom (as well as Mikami in dndressingroom, I'm planning on apping him at H_H as well) and I very much want to play but nobody seems to be on. Really, it's a very dull evening.
